Like most big cities, the capital of Spain has its own Zoo. But this is not just any Zoo! Madrid’s Zoo Aquarium combines two animal-related attractions in one, giving visitors the opportunity to visit both land and air animals and also those who live underwater.

Some of the animals that can be found at the Zoo Aquarium include bisons, giraffes, lions, camels, penguins, cassowaries, sharks, koalas, and turtles.
This fantastic venue first opened its doors in 1770, and it is one of the largest zoos in Spain, with a total of 49 acres. This is one of the few zoos in the entire world to have giant pandas and what is even more exciting, they have successfully mated and the female panda gave birth to an adorable baby named Chulina.

What are the prices of admission to the Zoo Aquarium?
If you are planning on visiting Madrid’s Zoo Aquarium, it pays off to purchase your tickets online, as you will be able to get them at a discounted price. The regular ticket price is 23.90€ at the venue or 17.90€ online. Children between 3 and 7 years old, people over 65 years old, and people with disabilities pay 18.90€ or 15.90€ online. An adult who comes as part of a large family pays 13.70€ or 13.50€ online, while children pay 9.40€ or 9.20€ online. Kids under 3 years old can go in for free.
What are the Zoo Aquarium’s working hours?

The Zoo Aquarium‘s schedule varies according to the time of the year and the day of the week. During June, the Zoom Aquarium is open from 10:30 am to 8 pm during the week, remaining open half an hour longer during the weekends. In July, the venue is open from 10:30 am to 10:30 pm, except for Saturdays, when it remains open until midnight. The schedule in August is the same as in July, except for the 15th, in which the venue remains open until midnight, despite it being a Tuesday. In September, Zoo Aquarium remains open from 10:30 am to 8 pm, from the 1st to the 8th of the month and on the weekends. The first two weekends of the month have a different schedule, remaining open another half hour. The rest of the month, the venue opens from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. If you are visiting the Zoo Aquarium at a later date, check their schedule online as it has not been released for the rest of the year yet.
