The first festival we want to share with you is Mad Cool Festival, an event that will take place on July 11, 12 and 13 in 2019. Mad Cool Festival begins its 2019 edition with a unique event: the 2019 Welcome Party. It will take place for the first time ever in history. The location for the welcome party is the same as for the festival: Espacio Mad Cool (or Mad Cool Space) at Recinto IFEMA – Valdebebas. The festival will start on Wednesday July 10 with an impressive and varied lineup, that is spread over four different stages. Tickets for the Welcome Party have to be purchased separately from tickets to the rest of the festival. The official websites to buy your tickets for Mad Cool Festival 2019 are madcoolfestival.es, Ticketmaster.es, and Festicket.com, and they include wristband delivery. Children under the age of 8 can enter Mad Cool Festival 2019 for free, and they must always be accompanied by their father, mother or a guardian. Another festival that you can visit this summer is Download Festival, which is held on the site of La Caja Mágica (or The Magic Box) in Camino Perales, 23, close to the district of Orcasitas. The best rock and metal artists will be returning to La Caja Mágica in Madrid for a third consecutive year, with famous bands and internationally renowned artists headlining the 2019 edition, like Scorpions, Slipknot and Tool. There will also be other artists, among many others, such as Stone Temple Pilots, Sabaton, Sum 41, Papa Roach and Turbonegro.

Besides these festivals, there is also Noches del Botánico (or Botanical Nights), and this is one of the festivals in the city of Madrid that is highly recommended. This established festival in the capital is taking place for the third consecutive year now, and it is a unique and must-see event for every lover of good quality music. It is, however, also an event that attracts a lot of tourism, and the number of tourists has been increasing year after year. Its well-selected and varied music programme brings together many famous national and international artists, but new, contemporary music talents will also get their chance to perform on stage. This makes the event perfect for a very varied audience and many different generations. This year’s lineup includes, among many others, Woody Allen, Ana Belén and Los Planetas. The festival has started on June 20, and it will continue on different dates, until its last performance on July 31. Our last festival recommendation is Weekend City, which will take place on September 20 and 21. It is an eclectic and urban festival, and it is the best activity to end your summer, with artists like Macaco, Mala Rodríguez, Miguel Campello, Nach and Fyahbwoy. Keep an eye on their website, because new information on the festival will be published there sometime during the next few weeks.
