After World War I, a distinct sound of music developed from the small city of New Orleans. Throughout the nation the sound consumed and lifted every person from\u00a0every speakeasy club. Jazz was the sound. And with this sound an exhilarating and impelling dance style was born. In the 1920s, it was all about the swing.<\/strong> Across the nation, jitterbugs spread and danced to Louis Armstrong\u2019s voice until their flappers no longer flapped.<\/p>\n

Today the most common styles of swing<\/strong> are Lindyhop, Balboa, Charleston, Blues, <\/strong>and Jazz Step<\/strong>. Madrid happens to be home to these styles of dance\u00a0thanks to a couple swing<\/strong> dance studios.
