Active since 1947 and with a current capacity of 81,044 spectators, it has been the stage for countless high-stakes <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shmadrid.com\/blog\/en\/watch-english-premier-league-football-madrid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">football<\/a> <\/strong>matches and is often completely sold out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Vicente Calder\u00f3n \u2013 <\/strong>Next on our list are <strong>Atl\u00e9tico Madrid<\/strong>\u2019s headquarters, which can hold 54,907 screaming fans. You can still visit the stadium, but it has been replaced by <strong>Wanda Metropolitano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>La Peineta \u2013<\/strong> After 50 years in the district of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shmadrid.com\/blog\/en\/arganzuela-district\/\"><strong>Arganzuela<\/strong><\/a>, Atl\u00e9tico\u2019s fans will now have a new home in the area between Canillejas and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shmadrid.com\/blog\/en\/san-blas\/\"><strong>San Blas<\/strong><\/a>. This former Olympic stadium, which had a 20,000 people capacity, is currently under renovations that will make it a modern, fully covered stadium capable of welcoming 73,729 spectators at once.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Coliseum Alfonso P\u00e9rez<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The home of Spanish Second Division club <strong>Getafe FC<\/strong>, from the city of the same name in Madrid&#8217;s metropolitan area, has been active since 1998 and is currently able to hold 17,393 fans.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Vallecas \u2013<\/strong> Located, unsurprisingly, in the Vallecas district, this 14,708 capacity stadium is the home of local club <strong>Rayo Vallecano<\/strong>, also currently competing in the Second Division.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>El Soto \u2013<\/strong> With a capacity for 14,000 spectators, El Soto used to be the home stadium for the football team of <strong>CD M\u00f3stoles<\/strong>, which no longer exists. It serves as the home field for Madrid rugby union team <strong>CR Cisneros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Minor stadiums &#8211;<\/strong> The remaining 4 stadiums in Madrid are of lower capacity and belong to minor sports teams.
