A short look around the city will show that the locals are adding new additions to their families all the time in Madrid.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There is no reason to suspect that the <strong>medical standards<\/strong> relating to pregnant women are any less than you\u2019d expect anywhere else in the world either. In fact, the truth is that irrespective of whether the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shmadrid.com\/blog\/en\/pregnant-madrid\/\"><strong>pregnant<\/strong><\/a> mother elects to choose <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shmadrid.com\/blog\/en\/healthcare-in-madrid\/\"><strong>private or public care<\/strong><\/a>, the standards are acceptably high.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"maternal-resources\"><\/span>Maternal resources<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Madrid, Spain\u2019s largest city, the maternity facilities\u00a0on offer are wide ranging and comprehensive. If you visit MumAbroad, for example, you will find a wide range of local services in the city, including maternity services, various childcare services, courses and workshops for kids, and much more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Those families who choose to use a public health service when their baby is born will find themselves visiting one of the city\u2019s larger facilities, which tend to be somewhat impersonal, although efficient.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For example, you can receive specialized prenatal and postnatal care at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esmo.org\/Patients\/Designated-Centres-of-Integrated-Oncology-and-Palliative-Care\/Hospital-Universitario-La-Paz-Spain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Hospital Universitario La Paz<\/a><\/strong> (in the neighbourhood of <strong>La Paz<\/strong>) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hospitallamoraleja.es\/en\/patients-birth.php\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Hospital Sanitas La Moraleja<\/strong><\/a> (in the district of <strong>Hortaleza<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can also view a full list of Sanitas Hospitals in Madrid <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hospitallamoraleja.es\/en\/campus.php\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> <\/strong>to find which is closest to you. Recently, paternity leave in Spain was extended from 15 days to 16 weeks as well, giving it the same time frame as maternal leave.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So, if you have just received the good news that the stork is about to visit when you\u2019re living in Madrid, there should be no cause for any panic or worries.
