Noches del Botánico – the Nights at the Botanical Garden Festival

Madrid is a vibrant city with numerous cultural events, whether they are related to performing arts, music, art or other festive events. There are various events practically every month, including numerous music festivals with different types of music. In this article by ShMadrid we would like to tell you more about a music festival called ‘Noches del Botánico’, which will take place in Spain’s capital from June 20 to July 31.

After its three previous successful editions, Noches Del Botánico (NDB) has become an undeniably interesting event in the city of Madrid for every lover of good quality music. It is an incentive for cultural tourism, which has grown each year with every new festival edition. Its excellent quality musical program brings nationally and internationally renowned artists together on stage every year, as well as promising talents from contemporary music, in order to excite a wide variety of audiences and also different generations. The beautiful and natural enclosure of Complutense Botanical Garden is an excellent location for the festival, because its exclusive capacity and its layout facilitate visibility and the public’s closeness to the artist. An intimate and enjoyable atmosphere is created, to be able to enjoy each performance to the fullest. Excellent facilities and a wide variety of services make it a brilliant and diverse festival, which enable the public to enjoy their favourite music and artists at every single evening at Nights at the Botanical Garden Festival. It is a wonderful and remarkable experience.

The Alfonso XIII Royal Botanical Garden at Complutense University is one of the most splendid areas in Madrid. It consists of more than 6000m², and you can discover more than eight hundred different tree species here. Good public transport and easy access make it one of the most preferred spaces, and it is absolutely an ideal setting to enjoy the terrific artistic program during Madrid’s summer nights. Noches del Botánico also has a varied gastronomic offer with exclusive food trucks. The design flea market with fashion items, jewellery and merchandising completes the festival. For your peace of mind, it also has a medical service in case an accident happens. This year’s artists are exceptional, and they include Woody Allen, Ana Belén, Los planetas, Andrés Calamaro, Salvador Sobral, Loreena Mckennitt, Diego El Cigala, Michael Bolton, Niña Pastori, Jane Birkin, Keane, Orishas and Russian Red. To get to the venue you can take the metro and get off at the Ciudad Universitaria stop. You can also take several buses, such as line 82, 132, F, G, U and the N20, and you can of course go by car, as there is parking available for 800 cars at only a 550 meters distance. Parking will cost you €0.01 /minute and you can park up to 8 hours for only €2.10. The address is: Avinguda de la Complutense (without a house number). This is without any doubt a festival that you must not miss, because of its unique atmosphere, the terrific artists and the privileged location.
