The first of the Madrid terraces we are recommending is that to be found in the Principal Madrid hotel.

La Terraza is located seven floors above Gran Via and offers you amazing vistas of the city from its terrace.

While enjoying the view why not sample some of the amazing cocktails and try a few of the nibbles created by its 2 Michelin star chef Ramon Freixa.

Tartan Roof

From here you might want to head across to Tartan Roof. This one is to be found above Circulo de Bellas Artes, an art center in the heart of the city. It offers you a completely different view of the city that few restaurants in Madrid can match.

Casa Suecia

Next, we are going to move on to the terrace at Casa Suecia which is situated on the rooftop of the NH Collection Suecia Hotel. It has been open for a few years now, and it has earned a reputation for being one of the best terraces to enjoy on warm Madrid summer nights.

To get to it you can enjoy views of the city going up in the panoramic elevator.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle during terraces season Madrid, then we suggest you head towards the College of Architects.

Inside its headquarters, you’ll find Bosco de Lobos. It’s one of the finest Italian Madrid restaurants.

Hat Bar

But for those who want to enjoy some more enjoyable times then head to the Hat Bar. This rooftop terrace is to be found in the hostel “The Hat” which is located on San Lorenzo, and only a short distance from Plaza Mayor.

Once you reach this, you can enjoy a very happy time while enjoying all that it has to offer in the way of food and drink.

El Viajero

Finally, why not head over to El Viajero that is the perfect place to relax and unwind after such a hectic few days exploring everything that this incredible city has to offer. Here, service is quite slow but allows you to enjoy the fantastic views of the Basilica de San Francisco El Grande.

Do you have a favourite terrace in Madrid? Which one?
