Pueblo Nuevo is one of the corners of the district of Ciudad Lineal with the most services, and it attracts many people who want to reside in this district. If you are part of a family, then this neighbourhood is particularly interesting for its exhaustiveness.

The neighbourhood enjoys a good public transport network with buses and metro lines, and you can also find a couple of shopping zones here. Besides these characteristics, several roads make it easy to use your own car in and around the area. Pueblo Nuevo is therefore a very complete and peaceful neighbourhood, with plenty of services and green zones.

Pueblo Nuevo can be divided into three zones: the area called Calle Alcalá  (with Calle de Alcalá, Calle Lago Constanza and Calle Vital Aza). It is also known as Pueblo Nuevo, and this is where you can find Alcalá Norte Shopping Centre, the Municipal Council of the District of Ciudad Lineal and the area’s shopping zone, located at Calle Alcalá.

The second zone concerns Calle Ascao and Calle Francisco Villaespesa (with Calle Lago Constanza, Calle Vital Aza, Calle Guillén de Castro, Calle Achuri, Calle Francisco Rioja and Calle Breña). This part of the neighbourhood is also known as Ascao.

The neighbourhood’s third zone is called Barrio de Bilbao, and this popular and historic area can again be divided into three parts: the area of Calle Arriaga and Parque Arriaga, the northern part of Barrio de Bilbao (simply known as García Noblejas with Calle Braulio Gutiérrez, Calle Santurce and Calle Gandhi) and the southern part of Barrio de Bilbao (with Calle Villaescusa and the reservoir of canal Isabel II). This part is also known as La Almudena or Villaescusa. The last two zones are divided by Calle Francisco Largo Caballero.

What to see in the neighbourhood of Pueblo Nuevo in Madrid

One of the most interesting places in the neighbourhood of Pueblo Nuevo is Centro Comercial de Álcalá Norte, a shopping centre located at the crossroads of Calle de Alcalá and Calle de Arturo Soria.

You can reach the centre with city bus lines 4-38-48-70-77-104-105-109-201-N5 and intercity bus lines 211-212-286-288-289-N21. You can also use the metro and get off at the stop of Ciudad Lineal.

The shopping centre opened its doors in November 1999, and has a shopping surface of 15,000 m².

There are two entrances to the shopping centre. The main one is on Calle de Alcalá (the north entrance) and the other one is on Avenida Institución Libre de Enseñanza (the south entrance).

The centre has three floors with many different types of shops and a floor for your entertainment with cinemas.
