Discover Museo Cerralbo

Written by Paula

Museo Cerralbo is a museum that houses the private collection of Enrique de Aguilera y Gamboa, who was the Marquis of Cerralbo in the seventeenth century. During his life, the Marquis gathered a vast collection of art, antiques, and archaeological objects. Enrique de Aguilera y Gamboa passed away in the year of 1922, but it was only in 1934 that the Fundación Museo Cerralbo was created, with the Cerralbo Museum itself being built ten years later, in 1994.
