Gau & Cafe

Located on the fourth floor of Calle Tribulete 14. This is truly one of the city’s hidden gems, as the roof terrace cannot be seen from the streets below. But what you’ll find once you reach the fourth floor is a chic but friendly bar. It is split into 2 zones, one specifically for eating and drinking. Plus it also has a bar inside, just in case you visit it on an evening when the weather isn’t as lovely as you would hope.

HAT

You’ll find this one situated on Calle Imperial 9. Just because it is situated above a hostel don’t let this put you off visiting it. This is considered to be one of the hippest places to go. Recently opened you can enjoy not only a good selection of cocktails (some served in jam jars) but tapas as well. Being one of the smaller rooftop bars it offers a more intimate atmosphere.

Mercado San Anton

You’ll find this rooftop bar on Calle de Augusto Figueroa. It comes with the added benefit of being located above the citys best gourment indoor market. So you have the opportunity to try a few delicious local delicacies before heading to the roof for a nightcap or two. This has a very chilled vibe so is the perfect place to while away few hours in the afternoon or evening.

The Roof at ME

This is one of the most exclusive terraces in all of Madrid and can be found at Plaza de Santa Ana. This one has a strict door policy, but once you enter the low lighting and supermodel looking waitresses really give it that wow factor. The perfect place if you want to be seen as well as try out some of the most expensive cocktails in all of Madrid.

This is located at Circulo de Bellas Artes on Alcalá 42/Marqués de Casa Riera. But in order for you to take in the views from this one you’ll need to pay the entrance fee of €3. But it is worth it to enjoy some amazing drinks whilst taking in the even more spectacular views of the city.

If you’re looking for somewhere a little more luxurious to go then this is the place for you. Situated on Plaza Vázquez de Mella. Once here you may get the opportunity to relax and unwind with some of the city’s most fashionable people. It overs some amazing views out over the Gran Via.

El Viajero

This is the perfect place to enjoy some tasty treats as well as one of their speciality cocktails. As you sip on your mojito sit back and relax in this lush green (it is covered in plants) location. You’ll find this particular rooftop bar at Plaza de la Cebada.

Apartosuites Jardines de Sabatini

This is another of the city’s secret rooftop bars and overlooks some of the city’s most famous sites. As you relax on one of the many oval sofas on the terrace enjoy a few drinks along with some amazing tapas. All the while taking in the most incredible views of Madrid.
