Campsites are one of the most popular places to spend the holidays as an ideal place to enjoy the outdoors in an economical and fun way. Camping Madrid Arco Iris

This campsite, part of the camping chain Campingred, is acclaimed by many as one of the best campsites in the country with 30 years of experience in offering camping and caravanning services. This huge area includes almost 40,000 m² of land with a number of facilities including a bar, restaurant, supermarket, a playground for children, mini spa, sports courts, and large showers with heated changing rooms. The campsite is open throughout the year, offering personalized services depending on the season, such as autumn or winter bungalows. The prices also vary based on the season;  70 m² cost between €17 and €22, 100 m² are €20 and €24, and plots of 100 m² or more with individual bathrooms are €23 and €27 per night. It includes camping gear and a vehicle to get around the entire ground.

Camping El Canto La Gallina

In Valdemaqueda is another campsite with great facilities: El Canto La Gallina. It is characterized by its environment, surrounded by nature, settled in one of the most beautiful areas of pine forests in the region. Among the facilities, there is a large pool where you can fight the heat during the summer, a supermarket, playground, cafeteria, and restaurant, as well as several sports courts for football, basketball, and tennis. El Canto La Gallina bungalows consist of a double room, another room with a capacity for up to three people, kitchen, living room, bathroom and a porch. There are things to do for everyone, such as karaoke, dances, and parties, as well as being able to go hiking in the vicinity of the campsite. Prices for bungalows are €55 to €65 for two people, €75 to €85 for three people, €95 to €105 for four, and €115 to €125 for the large five-person bungalow.

Directions: A-6 to Las Rozas, then take the M-505 to Escorial, drive towards Avila and take the M-512 to Robledo de Chavela and the M-537 to Valdemaqueda. Via Renfe Madrid, take the train to Ávila.

Camping Resort El Escorial

Located a few kilometers from the city of El Escorial, at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama, Resort El Escorial is also another great option to go camping. This campsite is perhaps one of the best equipped with modern and extensive facilities. El Escorial has among its facilities four swimming pools, three outdoors and a heated pool, a restaurant, cafeteria, supermarket, laundry room, souvenir shop, and even a nightclub that is open during the summer months. Its sports area includes tennis, football, petanque, ping-pong tables, and a beach volleyball court. They have different types of accommodations with bungalows of different sizes with all of the necessary amenities a person wants and needs during their stay.
